New Climate Economy – China Report

 The New Climate Economy – China report is a research project carried out by Tsinghua University. The Chinese leadership is facing the most severe challenge in the world simultaneously on the fronts of economic development, environment governance and tackling climate change. In the next 50 years, China face a series of critical choices, which will not only shape the future of China, but also the world. The research project investigates and simulates the development scenarios of China’s economic, energy and environmental development, and provided policy suggestions on how China could integrate these targets in its future low carbon and green development transition.  

《中国与新气候经济》是《新气候经济》项目的中国研究部分，该课题由清华大学承担。当前中国的领导人和决策者在经济发展、环境治理和应对气候变化三个领域同时面临世界上最严峻的挑战。在未来的十五年，中国面临着一系列重要的选择，而这些选择不仅将塑造中国的未来，也将塑造世界的未来。《中国与新气候经济》项目主要研究和模拟了未来十五年中国的经济、能源、环境领域在不同情景下的变化，就未来中国如何综合和集成这些领域的政策目标，实现向绿色低碳的发展路径转型，提出了清晰的政策建议。
